My phone has become the place I go to hear myself. Not the doom-scrolling kind of dependence — the quieter kind. The kind where you've forgotten how to sit with a question long enough to hear your own answer.

John Wesley didn't plant churches. He planted societies, class meetings, and bands. The Wesleyan tradition has Fresh Expressions in its bones. This is who we have always been at our best — faith and practices that stir outside of the church.

What if more "sit still" children had grown up experiencing church warmly, lovingly, safe yet free to move? Would there be more adults in our churches today? A question I haven't heard anyone ask — from the other direction.
